Working with Children
Lee guides wilderness experiences for kids. Small groups of youngsters are immersed into nature, learning valuable life skills via bushcraft and campcraft. Camping in tents and living out of a backpack, the youngsters learn how to stay safe, warm and dry in the outdoors. They cook on the fire, learn navigational and survival skills, and are exposed to the natural world at its finest.
Tracking animals, birding, frogging, fishing and butterfly catching are all just part of the fun! Parents often comment, when collecting their offspring from these camps, that despite the fact that they smell of woodsmoke and sweat – the kids return home more appreciative of the home comforts we all so often take for granted. They return enthused, and full of stories of their adventures. Getting kids outside is a simple and highly effective learning tool in today’s world.
